The Maynooth University Mathematics Support Centre (MSC) is a __FREE service__ providing informal, friendly additional support to **all undergraduate Maynooth University students.**

The MSC is located in the** Social Learning Room, which is on the ground floor of the John Paul II library, on the South campus of the university.** See here for a map of our location.

Full details of the services we offer can be found from the services links above. Students who register with the MSC will receive regular emails updating them on the latest news. These details will also be posted on this page and on the relevant Moodle page.

Our experience has been that regular and appropriate attendance at the MSC helps improve students' experience of mathematics at Maynooth University. You can access student advice documents and guidelines on appropriate use of the MSC.

Students are reminded that the MSC will only provide help in cases where the student has already considered the material and are in possession of their lecture notes.

Please see feedback from Maynooth University and secondary school students who have used the MSC in the appropriate manner as outlined by our guidelines on appropriate use of the MSC.

If you have any queries about the MSC please do not hesitate to contact us at msc@mu.ie.

The Maynooth University Maths Support Centre first opened in October 2007. Since then, it has grown significantly and had its100,000th student visit in April 2015. This highly valued resource has received very positive feedback and students who used the service reported more confidence in their mathematical ability. Published research shows that attending the Maths Support Centre and engaging appropriately improves both student retention and progression.
